In honour of our Great Nation’s 150th anniversary of Confederation, I will be awarding limited edition Sesquicentennial Pins to recognize 12 Nickel Belt-Greater Sudbury residents of all ages in recognition of their outstanding contribution to our community through volunteerism.
We are looking to recognize individuals who have made a difference in the life or lives of an individual or group. This is a grass roots initiative to acknowledge people who have put selflessness before self. This could be a young individual who shovels a senior’s stairs, or someone who works at a local soup kitchen or someone who gives of their time to the cancer centre. I want to hear from you! In a time where the media is riddled with negativity, I feel it is important to highlight the good that is being done in our community!
This pin incorporates the original copper which covered the roofs of Canada’s Parliament Buildings from 1918 to 1996. Natural weathering and imperfections are authentic markings that contribute to its heritage value.
I invite you to nominate a resident of Nickel Belt. Please email information about your nominee to firstname.lastname@example.org with details of why you feel the individual in question is deserving. Please include contact information for yourself and your nominee (name, address, phone number, and e-mail address).
Thank you in advance for your participation. This is one small way we can recognize and celebrate the many accomplishments of Nickel Belt residents.
Please note: To qualify, the nominee must be a resident of the riding of Nickel Belt, (riding map link http://elections.ca/res/cir/maps/mapprov.asp?map=35056&prov=35&b=&lang=e)
